Description
Albucid Eye drops is a Sulfonamide antibiotic useful in treating bacterial infection of eyes. It contains Sulfacetamide 20% in it. The manufacturer for the eye drops is Allergan India Ltd. It is useful in preventing infections after the injuries. The key components of the eye drops have a bacteriostatic effect on a wide range of positive and negative body. It is also useful in treating bacterial Trachoma, corneal ulcers and keratitis. It is useful in inhibiting the multiplication of bacteria.
The Eye Drops help in preventing the synthesis of proteins required by the bacteria to cause an eye infection. It is for external use and helps to treat eye infection. It helps interfere with nucleic acid synthesis by blocking the conversion of PABA to co-enzyme dehydro-folic acid. There are no habit tendencies with the eye-drops. Dosage
• Gently squeeze the dropper to put one drop of Albucid Eye Drops or as required.
• Wipe off the extra liquid use.
• Maintain adequate fluid intake with the eye drops.
• Do not double the dosage of eye drops.
• Avoid taking extra dosage to complete the missed dosage schedule.
